THE MOST NEEDED ENTRY EVER.
Cause livejournal is working again.
First I shall post the totally irrelevant post from last Friday, which references events that were getting ready to happen back when it was Friday, but have already happened now.
So, yesterday I went to Washington DC with one of my roommates. It was awesomely awesome. (Awesome opossum as my other roommate says). We got on Metro (dc's transportation thingy) and headed towards downtown. We were almost there when we finally decided to go to the zoo, over museums. Good choice on our parts.
We started with corndogs, and a two litre double gulp of Coke zero. (from 7-11, cause zoo food is EXPENSIVE)
So we toured stuff til everything closed, and saw a bunch of cute fuzzy, slimy, scaly and feathery stuff. And a monkey meticulously eating its own puke, right after throwing it up. (we got some of this on video...) I'll upload my gaggle of pictures when I get back to Richmond, cause that's where I think my card reader is. If its not there, then I'll buy a new one... when i get back to richmond.
So here was my gripe. Everything closes early. At 6... we got there at 2, and 4 hours isn't enough to see everything. And half the zoo was closed down to make way for something or other. I couldn't see wolves, like half the cats or any of the North American native stuff. Why not wait for Winter, DC?
Oh yeah, cause DC is full of fail and pigeons.
Then we got chinese food at chinatown. Really good chinese food.
And then we saw Moon (GO SEE THIS NOW OH WAIT ITS OUT OF THEATRES NOW DAMN)
Great flick. I won't go into details, cause Kyle will kill me if I spoil it.
LAST BN SHIFT TOMORROW!
Good night world.
I also have zoo pictures, which I'll post in a picasa link/something below.
The move went very well, and I had a somewhat successful radio show on Sunday night. Besides a friend's server TOTALLY FUCKING FAILSAUCE'd.
And then there was an awesome Robot Chicken event on Monday. I probably should have done this entry last night, when I could still remember everything but here's prettymuch the score. Chilly's journal has this too, and probably more eloquently said and less ranty and filled with words. Or more words, or something.
But yes, Chilly and I left for this roller rink in the middle of bumfuck nowhere on the outskirts of Richmond. I love the whole roller rink as a venue idea, but it was very very very very very hot. Like 90's outsides and probably hotter inside. Even Seth Green was bitching about it. And they had fog machines on the inside, so it looked like a steam room.
Funny awesome moment outside... some redneck stoner dude paid someone 20 bucks to cut in line, and then the cops pulled him out, cause they saw him do it. So he proceeds to go back to the line, and trys to offer 10 bucks to do it again. And then the cops said they'd just pull him out again. So I shoulda taken the ten bucks. but I didn't want to get kicked outta line.
Well, we almost kinda met Seth Green, and got one of Chilly's sketches to him...
"here, Seth! A gift for you! You don't even have to sign it!" It pays to have a loud annoying squeaky voice sometimes.
So hopefully he'll like it. I wanted to get him to record something for my radio show, but that didn't happen. Oh well, you win a few, you lose a lot. And it was still a lot of kickass fun, ended with slurpees.
Well, here's some zoo photos.
I'm still trying to process the photos from yesterday, and see which ones are decent to put up.
